Preparing for Move‑In

Now it’s time to contact the leasing office to schedule a time to pick up the keys to your new home! During this visit, you'll also need to pay your deposit and provide a copy of your ID(s), proof of rental insurance, and verification of utilities. Finally, be sure to sign your move-in condition form 48 hours after your move-in to complete your move-in experience. P.S. – don’t forget to forward your mail to your new home!


On Moving Day

Make sure you have your move-in date written down and all your tasks written out and prioritized. Make an efficient to-do list:

  1. Get some free moving boxes from local clothing or grocery stores.
  2. Hire a moving company or ask friends or family for help.
  3. Plan meals out so you don’t have to buy extra groceries.
  4. Pack a moving day bag because you won’t be all unpacked on the first night.

02. Prepare

Pack

Start loading up those boxes! Tip: Label boxes to make sure you know where they go once you get inside your new home. Declutter and give away as much as possible so you’re not taking unnecessary junk you don’t need.

03. Pack

Load It Up

Make sure to have everything packed up before moving day. You’re also going to get hungry with all the moving, so pack snacks for the day. Once you’re ready, pack up those trucks/cars/vans and head to your new home in our Steadfast Living community!

You are finally home! Now the real fun begins. Get all those boxes unpacked and your things organized into their new spaces. Once complete, it’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy a well-deserved moment in your new home!

Be sure you’ve registered with our Resident Portal to keep up to date on community news, events, and updates. This is also where you will be able to check balances, make rental payments, update your resident profile, find parking information, review hours of operation for amenities, and everything else you need to know about your community!
